Complete Personal and Business Financial Services

Financial planning is the process by which a person, family or firm creates a plan on how they will allocate scarce resources today and in the future to achieve their financial goals. We find that most successful individuals have a financial planner, a lawyer, an accountant, an insurance agent and sometimes even a coach. The problem with this approach is that in most cases these five individuals that each represent different disciplines, tend to only see their specific part of the picture. They are attempting to create, implement and monitor a plan individually and apart from each other. In most cases they do not know one another and never discuss how the pieces fit together. This tendency can create a plan that is not synchronized or productive. In fact in many cases their actions can not only be lacking in harmony, but may conflict with each other causing unexpected and sometimes disastrous results.

At the Connecticut Institute of Finance, we will sit down with you and either work with your current advisors or provide you with access to all five disciplines, thereby creating a financial plan that truly represents your needs and goals. We will help you create, implement and monitor your financial plan so as to keep up with your ever changing financial, legal and life circumstances.

We take a very holistic view to your financial planning needs. We will explore with you the pentagon of financial planning; cash flow analysis, tax planning, investments, protection/ insurance and estate planning. We will enact these five building blocks in whatever one of the three financial life stages you are currently in. The three financial stages are wealth accumulation, retirement planning and estate planning. This process will be coupled with a discussion of potentially significant life events such as marriage, children, grandchildren, divorce, college planning and eldercare we do this from a goal oriented approach. There is a true difference between wishes and goals. A wish is the first step in creating a goal, but a wish by itself is a transparent sorrow. One must add a blue print or map on how to achieve your goals and finally a time restraint on when you want to accomplish it by. At the CT Institute of Finance, we will work closely with you to help you try to achieve your financial goals thereby allowing you to become healthy, wealth and wise.
