Investment Advisory Services

Focus: Your Financial Needs and Goals

We don't stop after your tax return is complete..
Our fee based money management program, offered through Sound Asset Management, Inc. a registered investment advisor, seeks to bring unemotional, logical and sound financial decision making to a client's investment portfolio. Each portfolio is tailored to a specific client type that reflects that client's risk parameters and economic needs.

Sound Asset Management, Inc. is a fee-based service where the investment advisor works with the individual client to meet their financial goals. In the case of a fee-based relationship the client and the advisor have the same goal. The advisor is not motivated by the number of transactions that are made that generate a commission; but rather by the value and growth of the portfolio. The common goal of both the advisor and the portfolio manager is to help increase net worth and achieve overall investment objectives. The advisor is paid a percentage of the value of the portfolio. This creates a mutual incentive to maintain the long term health of the account and the relationship with the client. This is a win win scenario where both parties benefit by both principal protection and portfolio growth.

The overall portfolio takes a global investment philosophy using a fund of funds strategy. Sound Asset Management believes that a portfolio that is U.S. centric, over time will not take advantage of globalization and unification of markets in the 21st century. Each portfolio will always look to have a significant investment in the world at large. The portfolio will look to take advantage of big picture trends with a tactical view of global markets and specific sectors of those markets that will outperform the index. The portfolio is based on the appropriate risk parameters of a specific client type. In the more conservative part of the portfolio, the income aspect of the portfolio will be stressed more than growth. In the more aggressive portfolios the growth aspect will have a higher concentration. The indexes that the portfolio is measured against are the MSCI Global equity index and FTSE global bond index. The weighing of each index will be based on the risk parameter of each portfolio. To that end we have created two categories the first is the qualified non tax efficient category with five portfolios based on risk. The second is the non-qualified tax efficient category with its own five portfolios based on risk.

We seek through *diversification and a strategic, tactical allocation of a client's assets, to achieve appropriate portfolio growth, while taking into consideration the client’s personal risk profiles. Our first and foremost goal is to protect principal, not only from the ravages of a fickle market, but from the slow creep of inflation, and its decimating impact over time.

The benefits of fee-based investment management
  • No conflict of interest
  • Pay as you go model
  • No pressure to buy or sell investments
  • Personal ongoing relationship with the advisor
  • Client and advisor have the same goal- the achievements of client’s objectives
  • Advisor is acting in the capacity as a fiduciary rather than a product salesperson
