CONFIDENTIAL. This planner contains personal, financial, and medical information. Keep it where a trusted person can find it and no one else can — a locked file, an encrypted drive, or a safe. Nothing typed into this document is transmitted anywhere; it stays on the device where it is filled in and in the copy you save.
A Note to My Family

Keeping This Planner Current
A planner is only as good as its last update. Review it once a year, and after any of the events below.
Nothing has been recorded in this section yet.
Set a recurring reminder on the same date each year — a birthday or the New Year works well. A review usually takes less than an hour once the planner is written.

Final Signature Page
I prepared this planner to help my loved ones and to provide guidance during a difficult time.
This document was prepared with love.
Important reminder. This planner is a personal record, not a legal instrument. It is not a substitute for a valid will, trust, healthcare directive, or power of attorney, and it does not transfer property or override a beneficiary designation. Nothing in it is legal, tax, or investment advice. Review your plans with an attorney, financial advisor, or other qualified professional, and keep beneficiary designations current with each institution directly.
How this planner works
Fill it in a little at a time. Nothing you type leaves your device.
Saving your work
- Save a copy downloads this planner as a new file with your answers inside it. Open that file later — on any computer, with or without internet — and everything you typed is still there.
- Keep only one current copy so you always know which is the latest. Replace the old file each time you save.
- As a convenience, this browser also remembers a draft automatically. That draft can be lost when browsing data is cleared, so it is not a substitute for saving a copy.
Continuing a planner you were sent
- Open the file that was sent to you, or use Open a saved file to pull answers in from a previously saved planner.
Making a PDF
- Click Export PDF, then choose Save as PDF as the destination in the print dialog that appears.
- By default, blank fields are left out of the PDF. Uncheck Hide blanks in PDF in the toolbar if you would rather print empty lines to write on by hand.
Keeping it safe
- This file will hold account numbers and other sensitive details. Store it in a location only you and one trusted person can reach, and consider an encrypted drive or a password-protected folder.
- Write down where a password manager is kept rather than listing individual passwords.
